Just saying.
Two weeks into my new work now. Two weeks of striving to wake up and get up at exactly 6:00am. Two weeks of rushing breakfast and bath so I can leave before 7:30am. Two weeks of balling my fist and stomping my foot on the jeep, hoping to reach the office by exactly 9:00am despite the heavy rush hour traffic. Two weeks of being in the office from 9:00am to 6:30pm, boxed with literally nowhere to go we’re dead smack in the middle of an industrial park. 6 times a week, that’s right, I work on Saturdays now well, every other Saturday.
These are the changes that occurred when I transferred to my new job. Not to mention, I don’t get to spend that much time with my girlfriend anymore since she lives on the other side of the city and by the time I get there from work, she’s already prepping herself for sleep. All night-time activities that I had set at 8:00pm before, I’m forced to be late now.
Two weeks into my new job and it has me reflecting. It was then that I realized that, hey, I only lost an hour. That there brought me to the conclusion that time management is just overrated. Time is one of the things we don’t have control over. We only have 24 hours daily and no matter how much we want to slow time down, we can’t. It’s going to pan continuously as it usually does.
