The only reason to be good this season is not Santa and his gifts.
The Chicboy Scandal
You’re somwhere in Metro Manila with only 100 pesos or a tad over that and you want to eat a hefty meal, where do you go? If you’re someone craving for a Cebu style lechon liempo and the like, then you probably answered Chicboy. With 59 branches believe me, I counted, all-over Luzon 90% of those in Metro Manila and a few open for 24 hours, it’s not difficult to spot one. You probably just ate there or perhaps are planning on going, heck maybe you’re eating in one right now! Since opening in 2010, this devious Mang Inasal twin called Chicboy has grown into somewhat of a conglomerate. However, the past few days have been hard on them, because of a facebook post made by Sigrid Bernardo (I don’t know her either) that hit the internet just this Monday. A post entitled “CHICKBOY SCANDAL” the hell with the spelling, she’s that damn hard, disturbed and angry about it, which now has been shared 8,072 times all-over the local Facebook scene. It was indeed disturbing though. Continue reading
I am back!
Almost took me 3 years to update my blog. Finally have enough free time to blog…blog…blog. I’ll be posting new stuff soon so be sure not to miss them.
This is gonna be fun! See you all soon!
Fear The Black Horse
The hiatus I had from writing is finally over; I have been busy these past few months, I actually still am. I just have to write about something very important…FEAR.
Nelson Mandela once said, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” True to most, I would like to rephrase it for this post–MY deepest fear is not that HE is inadequate, MY deepest fear is that HE MIGHT BECOME powerful beyond measure…AGAIN. 2009 belongs to Venezuela…again.
Wouldn’t it only be right that my first chick-post be that of Stefanía Fernández, the crowned Miss Universe 2009? Yeah, I call it chick-post.
When Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza had to pass her crown, it was a tad unexpected that she’ll be handing it over to someone from her own Nation as well. This is the first time, threw thorough research yes, I researched that a country won the title consecutively. Though it’s disappointing, of course as a Filipino, that Bianca Manalo didn’t make the top 15. Considering her high online rating, I guess this year’s batch of contestants was just oozing with beauty. I mean, come on, there were at least 20 other gals who were eligible, in terms of appeal, to win it all.
I had, in order of favorite to least, Ingibjörg Egilsdóttir – Iceland, Bianca Manalo – Philippines, Stefanía Fernández – Venezuela, Gona Dragusha – Kosovo and Renete Cerljen – Sweden as my top five; and only two of them, Venezuela and Kosovo, got to the actual top five. Continue reading
August is a month of AWESOME
August is an awesome month for Mixed Martial Arts. I had two big fights that I was excited about: Anderson Silva vs. Forrest Griffin and BJ Penn vs. Ken Florian Gina ‘Conviction’ Carano vs. Cris ‘Cyborg’ Santos, don’t ask why I didn’t care much about the Penn-Florian fight.
First fight’s first, Anderson Silva vs. Forrest Griffin. Dominated is a word few, and I mean FEW, will associate with Forrest Griffin; but you’d be stupid to think that Anderson Silva will not be able to dominate Forrest Griffin.
I had no doubts that The Spider will win the fight, the question was: how? People got bored with The Spider’s last two fights against Patrick Cote and Thales Leites, respectively. Critics were questioning him: Has he lost motivation? Was he scared against Leites? Did he not train as hard? Dana White himself was disappointed with Silva’s performance and was afraid his bouts wouldn’t generate as much money is they should be…and maybe he was on to something. In fact, when Anderson Silva was making his way towards the ring, fans were booing him. Continue reading
Feeling Hot? MAKE YOUR OWN A/C!
I always visit lifehacker.com, for random Tech stuff (How ironic that I was bashing on technology in my last post). Anyway, I saw their post about a DIY (Do It Yourself) A/C. I watched the video in hopes of creating one myself; unfortunately I didn’t have the luxury of time to visit the hardware store, and was too lazy to do the processes involved. So I decided to create my version of the Improv A/C. Continue reading
